Are we done yet...?

We’ve finally hit the half way point of the semester and looking back, there are some areas in which I see a lot of improvement and others in which I'm still a bit iffy about. First and foremost, I think I'm getting the hang of this whole website thing. When we first started, I hadn’t a clue what multimodal compositions were. I also had no idea how we were going to be able to make a website of our own by the end of the semester and couldn’t really figure out my way around it. Now that we’ve created the general backbone and have around four blog posts under our belt, I have more experience and have had a few opportunities to get to mess around and figure some things out. I’ve since then figured out how to include not only picture and videos, but hyperlinks within pictures, gifs, and my personal videos giving me more room for creativity.

When it comes to writing, I still take no pleasure in it... the irony I know. That being said, I did however learn the difference between writing a rhetorical analysis, and a literary analysis. I’ve had to analyze past assignments, but writing a paper based off a visual argument was new and with the combination of the brainstorming and rough drafts, peer reviews, and the one on one conference about our papers, I feel like I'm much more educated and prepared when it comes to writing these types of papers.

Honestly, I think I've been doing a pretty good job keeping up with my work load in ENG this semester. And I think that’s mostly thanks to the multiple deadlines that we have regarding the rough drafts and what not keeping us on track. I have a bad habit of procrastinating and watching Netflix or Sam and Colby's haunted adventures in stead, how can anyone resist a good ghost story??
Anyway, I used to wait until the night before to start a paper, but recently I’ve been writing my papers ahead of time and turning them in at least a day early. This has been working really well for me and has been preventing unnecessary stress. Although, I think what I'm struggling with most have been trying to get an outstanding on my blog posts and I believe that’s due to the fact that they aren't as creative as they could be which is also because I still haven’t figured out other possible types of multimodal compositions to include. That being said, I don’t believe I'm doing everything I can to succeed. I need to put in more time to making my blog posts and incorporating different elements. For now, I'm trying my best considering I also have organic chem to deal with, but there's always room for improvement and I’ll be working on a few more things like my time management.
